Experimenting with a different range of bottles/Jar to make it easier what would work and what wouldn't
The above Image is the base of my design. I have played around with the scale and colour to fit something I want onto the packaging.Bold and straight to the point, not a big fan of the type being on the side. It fits on easier but for my brief I wanted to make the product instantly easy to read.
The legibility works easier on the above jar, and I also like the layout of the shape almost fits into a triangle.
An idea for the product range using a colour bar and the bottom of the bottle to indicate where the Honey is from.
The offset white works alot better than black. the type at the bottom however was meant to interpret a more hand drawn type to give it that organic look but this type looks like a fish out of water.
The type at the bottom is influenced by the typewriter but still stands out of place.
This is influenced by the DC Blog What is good as one of the five Original Source.
Works even better with the block bar stretched in line with logo above.
Not a fan of the Image being straight in the middle of the jar I think it works better just a fraction Higher up.
The 454g at the bottom of the jar gives the design more balanced and is looking more interesting to look at. The jar however looks like a urine sample bottle especially with the colour inside.
